Dance Floor in our Virtual VIP Lounge
The
LED dance floor is the new generation of the disco era lighted
dance floor.
As went disco,
so did the old lighting technology along with the lighted
floors . With the advent of LED technology, illuminated
floors have become popular once again and will not be going
away any time soon. LED floors can be found in luxurious
hotels, retail stores, hospitals, corporate lobbies, theaters,
night clubs, as well as residential settings. As a matter
of fact, we have customers who have purchased a LED floor
for their personal enjoyment.
Lighted floors can be also used to attract attention for
selling your products, such as for
trade-shows or any venue you are wanting
to bring in more customers. We offer a variety of floor
systems to accommodate your specific preferences.
There
are basically two styles of dance floors that are currently
on the market.
1.
The LED Video Floors
- these are the floor panels that have many indiviual LEDs
distributed thoughout the space of the panel, very much
like the pixels on a television.
Video
can be played back on these floors creating graphics and
video as well as having the ability to create effects similar
to the ones we create.
Pro - you
can create virtually anything you can watch on a DVD on
the entire floor. Great for events where the audience is
high up and can look down at the hugh "monitor".
Con - When
any lights go out on a panel you must replace the entire
panel which can be expensive. This system is usually on
the higher end with regard to sq/footage rates for lighted
floors and requires more equipment than the non-LED video
dance floors. The effects can not be seen very well when
up close such as when dancing.
2. LED Floors -
these floors usually use LED strip or tube lights that come
in various lengths. We use two 12"L tubes in our 24"
square modules. Some other manufacturers may use one or
more LEDs to light their modules/panels. Our panels are
often larger than most of our competitors and use 2 LEDs
to light up the top surface with rich and bright colors
uniformily. These floors are controlled either with a DMX
controller or a controller made by the manufacturer of the
lighting system. Our floors can be controlled by a DMX controller
however, we recommend, for those who are not familiar with
DMX or do not have the time or the resources to program
the shows in DMX, a user friendly and powerful controller
that we offer.
Pro - Can
produce stimulating and entertaining light shows at a much
more affordable price and requires less maintenance and
has the same durability and lifespan as a LED video floor.
Does not require replacing an entire module or panel if
a light goes out. Simply replace the one LED at a fraction
of the cost of a LED video panel. Beautiful effects can
be seen far away or close up.
Con - Can not create video
or graphics

Packaging:
Prices do not include packaging cost. We can get 36
of our dance floor modules per pallet and typically
cost $185 per pallet/packaging. We surround the modules
with wood and stryofoam for a safe delivery.
Number
of dance modules required: Once
you have determined the size of the floor you would
like, you can multiply the width and length of the
floor, in feet, to get the square footage for your
floor.
If
you would like to know how many modules you would
need, divide the total square footage of the floor
size by 4 (each module is 4 sq/ft) to get the number
of modular units you will need. For example; a 320
sq/ft floor, you will need 80 modules.
Our
new aluminum dance floor module with a 1/2" thick
white translucent acrylic top is 24" L x 24"
W x 4 3/4"H. With the adjustable feet each corner
of the module can be lowered or raised to compensate
for an uneven floor. Each module weighs 20 lbs.
Sloped
Perimeter Units:
We can provide sloping perimeter units for those who
require it for safety purposes such as in public facilities.
Please let us know if you need the sloping units when
requesting a quote. The sloping units are not lighted.
